Anyway, does anyone know of a way to discover what the code is for your particular XBOX to reset the hard drive? This code reverts your hard drive back to its original state and is somewhat unique for each XBOX. You're supposed to enter the code while in a certain menu in the XBOX dashboard.

I called the 800 number and made up a story saying my XBOX told me it "required service" etc. and told the rep that I heard you could reset the hard drive if you entered a certain code (ie- up, down, X, Y, left, up..etc). After he asked me some questions and I made up some answers, he told me that he couldn't give me the code because "it wouldn't solve your problem" and was very adament about not giving me the code.

I do a lot of messing around with the drive on my XBox and figured it would be a nice thing to have onhand to revert back to a fresh config with little to no hassle after copying/deleting/moving a bunch of files.

If nobody knows, maybe it would be a worthwhile thing to investigate. I'm sure there are a handful of people that would also like to know how to find the code.
