Xbox Clock = Useless?
« Reply #15 on: August 02, 2002, 10:29:00 AM »

Well, I must say that little XBWatch utility saved my butt last night at 2AM after I flashed the TSOP and upgraded the HD to 120GB.

I was unable to get to the MS dashboard even booting with the evoX CDRW.

I simply ran it and synched!  The MS dash was instantly available.  If it was not for it I would have screwed.

KUDOS to the developer(s)!  One life saving utility.

Can you give us more details on this little adventure?

Was EvoX your default dashboard? Did it boot fine, but M$ dash would not load from the linked in menu? Did you run xboxwatch from the hard drive or from a disc?

Well, I thought that my sig spoke for itself in how I am setup....  huh.gif

but here we go again:

1) EvoX 2.2 BIOS on TSOP (modchip removed)

2) EvoX Dashboard running from C on 120GB HD

3) MS Dashboard renamed to "msxboxdash.xbe" and linked in menu.ini with @3

The point is that because of the mods and constant updates the clock was f@$#$d-up and the MS Dash would not load.  Hence the life saving use of the XBWatch util.

YES XBWatch WORKS!  Honestly I think it's one of the best add-on utils I have!

i kno i hate it, but its a start of the xbox being able to connect to the internet, maybe we can mod it and make it go to a webpage, and start from there to make a web browser.

Well, see that's better, constructive criticism.

I would love nothing more than a nice web browser on my XBOX  biggrin.gif
