Can you explain how exactly you are able to do this? From what I know, you cannot have anything running in the background. So how are you able to have software running while MS's dvd playing code is running?

And it seems like there really is no need to do all the work to "intercept" what the dongle sends to the dvd player. From what I can tell, x-ecuter's code just patches the dvd player to not care about the region code.
