Very interesting indeed, particularly for those who wish to SWITCH digital inputs between multiple systems.

I have ONE optical input (the PS2 owns it right now) and the DVD has the Coax, but with this set up, I could use the Composite Video RCAs on my switchbox to swap in the Digital Audio Coax between the two (never use regular video, anyway, just S-Video)

as soon as i grab a spare wire, i'll try to solder it in (or at least connect it temporarily), then hook it up to my SB Extigy to see if i can FINALLY get 5.1 sound out of my xbox. It's a shame the only 5.1 spkrs i have are on my damn computer!
