I could definitley see the xbox emulating ps2 games easily, but thats not without a few hitches, just look at the specs: http://www.planetxbo.../about/compare/

Yes i know its on an xbox site, but those are real specs.

I digress...

Even though it might be vaporware right now, I wouldn't discount the possibility of a ps2 emu offhand.

Personally, I thought it would be a year before any modchips appeared for the Xbox, much less any emus.  Who knows what the future might hold, eh?  =]

Yes the Xbox potentially has enough available horsepower to do this...

But wow, it will need to be done totally in fairly efficient assembly for it to work well.

This will not be a trivial task, then again neither were the first MOD chips either.

All hail Bunnie!

biggrin.gif) because no games have harnessed the power of the double vu 128bit emotion engine except one game (Forget what it was called but it was a snowboarding game)  it used it  to encode dolby5.1(not in real time :X) Sony did not release the libraries for everything  like ms so nicely did, so the developers had to make them themselves which = slower develiopment on the ps2, and not being able to harness the full pawer of the v u's, if developers were able to eventually use the full power of them in a game i still think the xbox could handle it, cause the gpu handles ALL t&l arguments, as where in the ps2 the cpu does, so you would have 700mhz handling the ai, and whatnot.

"""Hmmm a company named "Disis Alye Software" lets write that phenetically shall we ... dis is alie ... this is a lie software.
Does it not seem odd that they would fly someone from a relatively unknown website to look at something of such importance?
I feel my hat is safe for the time being """

As he says:

"Disis Alye Software"  = "Thisis Alie Software" = This Is A Lie Software

tongue.gif  LOL
I have to laugh at you guys...
Why all this childish bickering about if or not an actual WORKING PS2 emulator is gonna emerge?
It might, or it might not... simple as...
Just sit tight and hope that one day it does happen. pop.gif

Don't hold your breath. If the XBox ever emulates the PS2 it wont be for a long time.
