Did we really or was it staged?
This applies to both the moon and PS2.

QUOTE (Drew826 @ Jul 23 2002, 01:55 AM)
seeing as how he said he has a bunch of dvdrs, i don't think he's really supporting the ps2. just trying to play games on the better system

He's supporting the ps2 by having DVDR copies of them which promote Sony in this way.

1. Freind see's him playing games on ps2
2. Freind likes one of the games (prolly Gta3)
3. Freind dosent have modchip
4. Freind goes out and buys reatail......

P.S.  Don't you hate when ps2 owners use Gta3 as the Holy Grail of the console, considering that it personlly gives me a headache.

P.S.S.  You were right thou, Xbox is definatly the better system, and thats just not a loyal $MS ass kisser talking  = )

Im not saying if PS2 emulation is possuble or not BUT don't you think that it would be nice to have ONE system that could play MOST of your legacy stuff?

SNES, NES, PSX, PS2, Dreamcast, N64, MAME, GG, SMS, GB(Std, Col, Adv) and the rest?

Personally I STILL own all the above machines and their respective 'odd on' boxes, chips etc, they are ALL in working order and about 50% of them are set up at one time, but it would save me a hell of alot of time and space (not to mention plug sockets) if the Xbox DID emulate them all.

Personally I think that emulation of the quality that we have been seeing both on Xbox and PS2 recently can be nothing but a good thing for game fans regardless of what console you support.  biggrin.gif

I just went to backup MX 2002 (motorcross game) on the Xbox and upon looking I discovered (PS2 files) Slus 200.72, ioprp214.img, ioprp211.img and system file, which states boot2 : slus 200.72 followed by VMODE : NTSC.

Now these files are on PS2 games, I have no idea why they are on a Xbox game DVD (original). It seemed weird. Were the makers of the game waiting for the PS2 emulator, who knows, lol.

I kid you not, these files are on the MX2002 xbox game. It just seemed funny to me. If you want to have a look, the files were in the assists, then cd/dvd folder. Just sitting right there.

(Just to let you guys know, the version of the game is Pal, so not sure if the NTSC will be different. Maybe I should put the xbox mx2002 game into my PS2..... I don't think so, lol)

dammit warbeast

you redd my mind.

but i am gonna keep the ps2 controllers for the xbox and buy a converter.

NO BEATS THE PS2 CONTROLLER IN FIGHTING GAMES.

xbox controller sucks on DO3. But i like it in halo, the anologs sticks sensitive just like the N64. But PS2 sucks in that matter.

ye i've seen it, going to buy soon it drops in the stores around here. don't want to buy through internet.

the thing i don't like at all on xbox controllers is the Back & whit buttons.
i want all buttons to be the same size.

BTW i can't stand the GameCube controller either.
