Damn Snow...Your stuff would have helped me earlier but I thin I found another way...Thanks for the great INFO I will try it the way you did and see if its easier.
Where is what I have..
XBOX Game Selector (Using Complex Information)
FIRST OFF:
Thanks to Complex for the information and files on how to do this cool menu.
I know most people say they dont like this but I think the menus look a lot better.
May take longer to create but they look better in the end.
I decided to create this to help document in more detail what I had to go through to get this thing to work.
1) Create a folder on your hard drive (I used ISO like the orginal doc suggested)
2) Unpack the cpxmenu files into the ISO folder you created
This will give you another ISO folder which contains:
Menux (Folder)
Xbmedia (Folder)
(3) .xbe files (default, backdir and ReDir)
(1) config.xml
(1) MenuX-xdi.bat
(1) XDIMaker.exe
I didnt use the Xbmedia folder
3) Copy your first game into the ISO folder
IMPORTANT: Rename the default.xbe to defaula.xbe
3) Check the second/third game to see if it has any common files as the first game.
4) If it does check to make sure you will not be overwriting any files from the first game.
5) REMEMBER: rename each default.xbe to default?.xbe (?=a,b,c)
GRAPHICS
1) Find what graphics you would like for the screen shot image to be.
2) Downsize the image to 260X194 and save as .png (Photoshop)
3) Copy your image files to \ISO\MenuX\sshot (Snapshot)
AUDIO
1) In the \ISO\MenuX\media there is an ambient.wma file
2) Create a .wma file of your choice and copy over this ambient.wma
3) Advanced WMA Workshop is good for this
MENU SELECTIONS
1) Edit the config.txt file located in \ISO where you unpacked CPXMENU
2) Looks like this:
TITLE=NBA Live 2002
INFO=EA Sports
GFX=NBA.png (What I called my Photoshop file)
DIR= (Leave this blank)
NOTE:***DIR= is where I had problems
TITLE=NBA Inside Drive 2002
INFO=MS Corporation
GFX=ID.png (Again what I named my Photoshop file)
DIR= (Leave this blank)
3) NOTE: After much reading I found that some games would not boot if not ran from the root of the disc. Leaving the DIR= blank will help get around this problem with the rest further down.
4) Now run the Menu-X-xdi.bat file
This will create a menu.xml file in the \ISO\MenuX folder
MAKE SURE YOU MOVE THIS TO THE CORRECT MenuX folder before burning.
5) Now for the part I had problems with.
6) The menu.xml file that is created will make both games point to default.xbe.
7) PROBLEM IS: default.xbe in the root starts the MenuX program.
![Cool 8)](https://forums.xboxscene.org/Smileys/xs/cool.gif)
So you would only have a disc that loops to the Menu
9) I used Hex Workshop 3.1 to edit the menu.xml before burning
10) Open the menu.xml in Hex Workshop 3.1
11) Find the default.xbe entry that is for you first game
12) Change it from default.xbe to defaula.xbe
13) Change the next default.xbe entry to defaulb.xbe
a. So you should have:
i. \ISO (Where games were copied to)
ii. default.xbe (for MenuX)
iii. defaula.xbe (for First Game)
iv. defaulb.xbe (for Second Game)
v. and all the folder and files for the games
14) Start PrimoDVD
a. Select File\New Job
i. Data Disc
ii. Change Volume (doesnt matter but I do)
iii. Change Multisession tab to New Volume
iv. Click Edit\Recording Options Change File System to UDF128
v. Drag and Drop the contents of \ISO to the PrimoDVD screen and burn
Hopeful this will help.
I took several different ideas from forum post and put them together. Cant remember where it all came from to give credit but this was made possible by the XBOX scene, just trying to do my part to save someone a lot of time.
