sweet...I was about to cut a hole in the back of my box so I could run a long ide cable out and be able to put my lid back on.  I think I can figure this out (even with the poor translation).  Will post my results and instructions in english when I finish.  It will be a few days before I can get to it though.

Did the mod last night, swapped the TMG600 for a Lite-on 163D (i think).
The biggest problem i faced was getting the thing to fit correctly in the space that was left by the old-xbox drive.. had to 'modify' (nice word for hacksawing) the bay a bit, and also the Lite-on's tray to fit the xbox-front. But, now that it's all done it works a treat, games boot lightning fast.. The noise level went up since this is a pretty fast drive with (very) high RPM's.

Well worth the effort..

Excellent!!!
I'm glad to hear that it works.
Do you have any pics of your install (or a quick walk through)? Are the connection points the same as the ones on the site?

Think it might be an idea for those that try this mos successfully to make a rough note of the connection points and take photo's if possible.

That way it will save others alot of bother and help to identify those drives that fit well and those that are pigs to fit.

I should be doing mine next week possibly with a toshiba drive. I will post the results here as soon as I have some with links to pics.

This is great but if you do this then how do you plan to back-up your originals .... then you have to hook up the original drive outside the Xbox just as you were doing with the pc drive before  blink.gif .
-- There is a better way , I am working on it right now and I will share my results when done ! ... external drive bay case with IDE switch and 2 bays [ 1 for an External pc cd-rom and 1 for an External Hard Drive ] .

Sound like an excellent idea.
Keep us posted on how the switch is coming!
