Add New Hdd On Bad Softmod Box, To Install .nix
« on: April 05, 2008, 05:13:00 PM »

Hello all, I've got a box that went south after a bad softmod. The only problem is, it does not have the original HDD. It was tossed (prob after some significant banter).

I want to know, is there a way to take a new HDD and put it in the box and load *nix on it? Without the original HDD?

Thanks much!!!!!

You will need a backup of the eeprom to lock the new hdd and from what you have described, the only way now is to build an eeprom reader to get it. xboxhdm is the tool to add a new hdd.
