If you have a version 1.6 xbox, then the screen will normally get cut off. This is a problem that xdsl has, I've read before that you might be able to do something if you google xdsl on v1.6...but im not exactly sure how that works. Try unplugging your mouse from the xbox and then reconnecting it (i know you probably tried that already). The mouse should work automatically.

yes you can use a controller, but some dont work.

the cheap madcatz wireless (19.99) works well, as do the official xbox controllers.

try unplugging whatever is plugged in.
then plug your controller in, launch xdsl, and as soon as you press A to launch it, unplug untill you get to your desktop, then try plugging it in.

i already told you about the screen position...if you have a v1.6 its a problem......holla
