Perhaps you can be more specific in 'goofed up some networking stuff'.
Do you mean the IP address is changed?, or were some files deleted?
The IP address can be set by:
ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.50
or whatever address you like.
The XBOXLinuxInstall script is located under /sbin and can be edited not to format the existing partitions.
It is worth a peek.
