even if we flash before, the xbox should not die 3 time when the chip is disable ?

EDIT: Well im gonna try it, ill get another xbox and hot swap to flash this one with m8 bios, its got to be this, all my wiring is perfect..

Flash the chip with the m8_16 bios with another non 1.6 version first, but dont boot that xbox with it since that bios is made ONLY for the 1.6 xbox.  Then install the chip in the xbox with one of those 1.6 diagrams for now......  I havnt done it myself, but i do know that you should flash with a dif version xbox first. then take out the modchip so u can install it on a 1.6.

So lets start to make a little list of what works and what does not work....
So far diablov90 has:

Flashed the chip with m8_1.6 before installing the chip into the xbox,
Used the ozxodus picture to rebuild the LPC as seen below:


Tried the d0 on the Ozxodus picture as seen here:

Also tried the d0 on the smartxx guide, as seen here:


The xbox frags with the chip on, and goes into the MS dashboard with the chip off.  That to me seems like a LPC rebuild issue, since the chip SHOULD get contious power like everyone has claimed so far.  Does anyone wanna repsond with detail what we are doing wrong?

Xane can you take a picture if possible of your wiring that would probably help us.  Also did you use the wire install or the Pin header?  Top or bottom ozxodus diagram?

i did a pin header install everything on the bottom side, even the d0, i took a picture but its not that clean, shitty webcam ...

are you able to turn off the modchip to boot to the Original MS bios?

didnt try but i dont care, since my mod work, i can go into the msdashboard via evox but i was able to boot msdashboard when my chip wasnt in.

I resoldered everything and everything worked fine.  But when i turn it off, then back on it frags.  But when i unpower the box, then turn it on again, it boots m8.  It works, but if i have to reboot i have to replug power cable.  Why is it doing this.  Cuz im doing wires install or what?

Anyone that has got theirs working used the pins, nobody has told me that they got theirs working using the wires.  Would this explain my problem?
