Anyone think that you could add your own disable/enable switch by having a SPST (single pole single throw) switch on the d0 wire?  The enable side wouold allow the d0 point to be grounded, while the disable side would not ground the d0.  

Wouldn't this work?  Let me know if I've missed something.

WTF is the point of this?  I am pretty sure that people already know this...so it is pointless for this thread where people are discussing the compatibility for v1.6 xboxes.

The new version of evtool is supposed to patch the m8 bioses with the LBA support, so get it and patch your bios for a larger hdd.

ok, I've got to 1.6 xboxes and two Xecuter 2.3b lites, and I'm stupped on how I install them and where all the wires go. I've done like 30 or so mods for other people, but I'm just stuck on how to get the diffrent bioses patched and where the d0 point is on the new 1.6 version, if someone can help me, I would love it. thanks so much to everyone already who has tried everything that they coule. I've read this thing like twice all the way though and I'm still stuck.

Do not connect the 3.3v wire it's not needed with the X2.3b chips as it uses 5v from LPC 6 and not 3.3v from LPC like all other modchips use. (baffled as to why Xecuter decided to use 5v instead of the normal 3.3v) but anyways you can use 5v power from the red wire on the USB connector for the controller port.

u can still flashed them tho using the dos command to make a 1MB bios composed from them

can anyone verify they have a 2.2 lite working on a 1.6?  i've been working away at this all day.  with the modchip in and the front switch disabled, it boots the retail bios(from the xbox mainboard) every time.  with it enabled, i get FRAGs.  i soldered/wired the backside of the board using the new diagram from xecuter.  on the top, i have 2 additional wires which are not shown in anyones pics or diagrams.  a brown and a green.  apparently they are not on x2.3 lite?  my 2.2 was flashed (with M8)using my other xbox and i verified the flash by booting it on that machine.  no prob.  i have tried flashing the retail bios as well.  

there has to be someone with a working 2.2 lite, i hope!?

That's curious. Did you flash with M8.bin or M8_16.bin? You need to have flashed with M8_16.bin for your 1.6. From what I've read, that bios will not work with 1.0-1.5 Xboxs, so it shouldn't have worked. Perhaps a simple reflash will give you success.

i should have been more specific.  it was the m8_16 that i used and i only allowed it to boot for just a second on the non-1.6 machine(v1.0).  i got the evox thing in the top left corner and hit power to shut it off.  i did notice that with it's(1.0 box) original mod and bios back in place that it is loading the bios poorly now(intro freezes).  hopefully i didn't fuck up my 1.0 box.

just for the record.....THE M8_1.6 bios will work on any box.. i've tried it on several boxes
i flash the X2 chip in my 1.3 box first..then put it in the 1.6 box.
at minimum you have to flash bank 2 (banks 3 and 4) with the m8_1.6 (256k) bios

X2BM v2.2 was released 3 weeks ago - it has M8 support
