Topic: Is Xecuter 2.3 Lite Compatible With The V1.6 Xbox? (Read 1787 times)

Since the BIOS has been released now for the v1.6 Xbox, it's time for me to decide on which chip to buy. Is the Xecuter 2.3 Lite compatible with the v1.6 Xbox and will it be able to be flashed with the new final version of M8 BIOS? I hear a lot of people waiting for the X3 because it has "many features and options", but all I really want or need is to be able to play my backup copies that I burned on DVD-R media. I don't care about any other options, just to be able to play backup copies. What is a simple chip that you guys could recommend to me that is fairly easy to install?

I really appreciate any help you guys can offer me.

With my Few Months of Expertise.....Xecuter do not have any compatible bios for 1.6 right now (Xecuter 2.3b: NO). X3 is supposed to be hardware compatible and they are supposed to be working on the bios too with a release expected soon after the official release of X3. Yes Xenium is as good as it gets for 1.6 right now.

Just wanted to reply....but I am a noob....but done much reading....lol

Thanks for your reply.......I have done a bunch of reading too, and from what I understand, Xenium is the only chip right now available for the v1.6 xbox with their OS 2.0

I guess I have no choice but to order a Xenium ICE. If anyone has anymore information, please let me know.

Just a thought....Use Xecuter 3 and EvoX M8_16 Bios....Good Luck. I haven't tried.

The Xecuter team got an X2.3 booting MS Bios im sure of it

Get an Alladin Live , they will work on 1.6's and will cost considerably less than a Smart / Xec / Xen no-ones confirmed this yet though . Wait a few days for everyone to have tried and tested stuff

Bare in mind you will have a harder installation with a 1.6 and have to use a pinheader and solder wires around it (i think ?|? havent got a 1.6 atm to even care

No, there are 2 extra pins on the LPC.

It is compatible but you have to reconstruct the lpc.

I have a feeling we wont be getting a digram from Xecuter anytime soon. I will try the OzXodus wiring and report back if the Xbox still works or not. :lol: Will be using 2.3b lite

From what I can see on the 2 different LPC rebuild diagram, the 3.3V source is different. I'm trying to install a 2.3b lite over the weekend on a 1.6. Will let you guys know if it works.
