is there a possible manual installation via FTP i can do, b/c no matter how many times I try it, it gets stuck on rootfs 41-42% and says read error on distro.rar, so how can I extract from the rar the files, then FTP them over???

Did you check the md5 against the download? You probably have a corrupt file. download it again

I found a FTP install tut, and it works, I might have some more questions soon so, h/o....
