Amarok In Xdsl
« on: July 09, 2006, 03:48:00 PM »

I think I am right in saying that Amorok is a KDE app and requires that you have the core components of KDE installed (about 80MB). I think you will need to first upgrade xdsl to a full debian distro with apt before you use apt to install KDE then Amorok. Having said that I beleive Amorok requires a more up to date kernal than xdsl has for some of the advanced features so you will also need to update the kernal in xdsl as well. a lot of work if you ask me for a fancy mp3 player.

If all he wants to do is play streams and mp3's, xdsl has the app's to do this built in, No need for bloated Gentoox
