the mysdsl repository is where ya get programs for XDSL.
click the mydsl icon on your desktop, then click on a section, (eg net,system,games...) then click on a program/game, read the info, then press A (click it) on the button at the bottom that says "download".
for example.... if ya wanna install java, so yahoo games will work with Firefox. Click on the Mydsl icon, then click on UCI, then scroll down to JRE1_5_0.uci(most are ".dsl" but this one isnt.) read the info, then click on download.... but because this file you are about to download is 40 something megs, I would suggest changing the directory it downloads to /home/dsl that way, ya dont have to download it again.
Frugal install - make a folder on E (hda50) "optional" and put the .dsl extentions ya wanna keep in there, that way, you can just right click on the desktop (next time ya boot up) and select mydsl/install optional extentions.
Loopback install - the correct way to install things with a loopback is to use agt-get (I think)
But all I do is open emmelf (not as root) and scroll to that "optional" directory on E (hda0), highlight the one ya wanna install (jre_1_5_0) for example, then up at the top of eemmelf there is a button says "mydsl" which installs it just fine.

everytime I reboot I gotta reinstall java, but it takes about 2 seconds so Ive learned to deal with it.... it would probably take me an hour to figure out apt-get, so....
hope this helps, it may not be the correct way of doing everything, but it works good for me.
