XDSL Native

Can I still access files on F through XBOX Programs? (eg, XBMC,UnleashXFileExplorer)

Im not worried about Wiping my F drive, I'm just wandering can I put it back.
Can I have the Linux files on my F (Native?), and still have F/Games, F/apps,etc...

*edit   Can "Native" still be launched "as an app", without being the only thing on the XBOX  (Im sure it can)

 is there a file I can edit, that will increase the size of the xdslfs then. or am I just stuck with a 1.9 gig install?

in xdsl , can I change permissions on directories?

Can I change permissions to say /mnt/hda55/test/ to be able to say download something to that folder... please post what I should type if so... and if not... well I 'll keep looking  biggrin.gif

this is what I tried, but dont wanna just keep trying things I dont understand, and end up messing something up.
"chmod -R 777 /mnt/hda55/test"

from what I got outve that link, was that should change permissions of all users, to have read/write/execute access.

is this even possible In XDSL?

I dunno about write access but i know it has Read access cause i have shouldcast running and its running the music files from /mnt/hda55/Music

EDIT: wait it should have write settings as super user because i remember transfering something from /home/dsl/ to /mnt/hda55/

I know how to read/write to hda55 manually, what I wanna know, is how to download directly to hda55 using prgrams such as Firefiox, Oxyftp,Azureus,Limewire, etc...

 Ive tried just launching these programs as super user (root), but that wont do it.

 thats my biggest bitch with ALL Linux distros, is the super user shit, I am the ONLY user, so If I do it, I want it done!
ya know?

            if ya wanna copy files that youve downloaded while running xdsl, right click on the desktop (B button), then open emmelf as super user (apps/tools in fluxbox)then you can write/delete away on F!

guess If I wanna use it as a real PC, I gott get rid of my games on F.    sad.gif
