Just thought I'd mention to ppl that my hip-gear controller doesn't work at all with sxb (various linux or asm coded things require an official controller in port 0).. You will need an official controller or keyboard to run this..
triggernum5,yes, sometime in xdirectfb joypads go funny try running with xorg
do ls -f X Xorg in running sxb so Xorg is started.but i think it depends on what version
of cromwell xbe i am using the older cromwell xbe worked and when i never used xromwell
i used old normal default.xbe never had this problem.
So yes as soon as you see sxb cromwell menu you will know if other pads not work.
only original so try some older cromwell xbe.
I only have original pad left so can not test ,saying that everyone who has xbox,surely
mut have original pad also,so no problem. and no point going back to large old
default.xbe as in original sxb where all pads worked.
But if people want to run other xpads wit sxb if you download old sxbbig
or old sxb mini you can grab the large default.xbe from there and copy
it to sxb dir and change linuxboot file to run only one menu,example
just change sxb/vmlinuz path to as below and add only single list as
in old default.xbe there were no menu as in xromwell.xbe.So cut and past
one list from linuxboot file you use where sxb is installed.et and paste.

paste this in new file and call it linuxboot.cfg add in sxb dir together
with old default.xbe,i think now all pads will work, sound be better also.
but might have some problem with newer xboxes with wideo,if video error
or black screen then remove video=xbox:640x480 from line and try ok.

ps: if you do not have old large xbe just do search in google "index xbox xbe" you will find few
old xbe's arount dor i will upload old sxb one ok.
