Mounting My F Partition In Xebian....no Success

QUOTE
If the fstab table looks a little bit confusing just resize the terminal window and you will get a nice view of the table. In order to mount the partitions at boot time you have to make the according entries in fstab.

  /dev/hda50   /mnt/E      fatx   defaults,user,umask=000      0   0
/dev/hda51   /mnt/C      fatx   defaults,user,umask=000      0   0
/dev/hda52   /mnt/X      fatx   defaults,user,umask=000      0   0
/dev/hda53   /mnt/Y      fatx   defaults,user,umask=000      0   0
/dev/hda54   /mnt/Z      fatx   defaults,user,umask=000      0   0
/dev/hda55   /mnt/F      fatx   defaults,user,umask=000      0   0
/dev/hda56   /mnt/G      fatx   defaults,user,umask=000      0   0
  Exit the file now with ":wq" and type "mount -a" to mount the partitions. To verify the success of the mounting operation have a look at /etc/mtab

  $ less /etc/mtab (type "q" to exit)
  If everything went well you should be able to find each partition (earlier stated in fstab) in this file. Your recorded soundtracks should be available under:

 Now I get the Directorys made Then im at the Fstab table using the terminal on the Xebian desktop. I go to Enter the line for the Fpartition. I get to "umask=" when i go to make the zeros i says "---Entry----" then it goes to the top of the Fstab table. And i cant go anyfarther. I would like help on mounting my Fpartition so i can listen to my MP3s. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Ok i have tried it but no luck. It goes to the Insert Function wich allows me to edit just fine. I have A few things Highlighted tho....

/dev/hda55     /mnt/F        fatx      defaults,user,umask=000      0   0

                                                    (the word fatx is highlighted in red)
The rest of it looks ok. But I also do not know how to get out of the insert function in fstab nor how to actually Insert the line correctly so it will work and mount on boot up. Any help on how to accomplish this amazing feat (i call it a feat for i have spent Months on this and no one has helped cept gold and i still cant get it to work (imma linux noobie)) Please help me on this.

Have you tried just following this tutorial word for word? I'm using linux for the first time and I got my F and E drives mounting automatically now every time I boot xebian. Are you using a usb keyboard or a pad and onscreen keyboard? You might be just making a small mistake if you're using a pad I guess.
