I want to connect to Internet.. But I dont get how to do that..
Can someone help me connect with internet, doesnt matter x-dsl or sXb, I have one adsl modem and i have 1 networkcard, can someone exactly say how to connect to internet...

well are u trying to do it on your xbox? or a pc,

if its a pc, there are better forums than this for that,

and if its your xbox, then first check if its somehow connected to a network or to a modem.

if its connected to a router, then u need to make sure the router is also connected to your modem, and that its all on, and if xdsl still doesnt work, then its something else because it works 'right out of the box', otherwise if u dont have a router, connect to the internet then plug the ethernet into the back of ur box, and it should work, ive never done it that way, and i havent even tried sxb, but go with xdsl, tis definitley easy to get goin

I try it with my xbox, i have no router, Xbox is connected with the Computer with a cross-over cable.. but can u help me out how to set IP and how to give the xbox internet, and how to connect with internet from the xbox..

im a visual person, so i need details ,
ok so no router, and crossover to the computer, this may seem like a s tupid question but is there a internet modem connection to your computer as well,so that both xbox, and modem can be connected at the same time?

do you have dial up or dsl or some kind of high speed?

you probably have a static ip adress since you have only one computer(besides your xbox), but to set it up u need to go to your network settings menu

first off i sugesst u go to www.portforward.com  this is a great site for setting up routers for portforwarding if u have a built in firewall u need taking care of, but since u dont have a router, there guide on setting up a static ip is really good, heres the link to that exact guide:  static ip guide

but give some details here so ppl like me can better help you

Open up your network connections

start>control panel> network connections..

Next right click on the connection in which your internet is going to..
click properties

you should have an advanced tab click that

see where it says internet connection sharing? click that and also enable allow others to change ... blah blah.. Click that then hit ok.. This should statically set your NIC card (the one connecting from the PC to the XBOX) to 192.168.0.1

Next turn on the xbox and look at your PC do you see your LAN running with that IP statically set?

If not set it to 192.168.0.1 and subnet mask 255.255.255.0 and leave the rest blank hit ok then restart you XBOX. If you launch with XDSL your internet should be working as your PC now is a mini DHCP server natting off your intenet connection.. :-)
