make sure the file is called bios.bin and that there is a 50mb dummy file called abc.dat on the cd.  i am assuming it recognizes the cd and just cant find the bios by your post.

you need to download the original 256k bios off of xbins.  that could be the source of your problem since you may have a modified bios.

it does find the bios file, it says

CD-ROM Label: New
Found Bios Update: /BIOS.BIN (1024K)
Unknown flash! Halting

i put two files on that cd, the bios.bin and abc.dat(it was a 78mb.zip)

i have a samsung dvd
i have also tried with 3 dif types of media, a verbatim and memorex cd-r and a tdk cd-rw
i also tried disk at once and track at once @4x(slowest option)

- Well, this tutorial is for the Xecuter 2.2.  You should look something like this (this is the lite, the pro looks a bit different):
user posted image
- If you're talking about the switch settings on the 2.2 lite, then the chip should be on, unprotected, and bank1 selected; like the tutorial says.
- Since you say dip switches, I assume you are talking about the Pro and that's a bit different. It depends what you are flashing exactly. http://www.xbox-scen...o_switches.html shows the dip settings for the 2.0 - 2.2 Pro.

This was designed as an alternative to the oxflash method.  The differences are:

- The oxflash method is used with a different version bios than what comes with the new X2.2's.  The 2.2's weren't designed to need the oxflash method.
- What happens if your Xbox wont read the ozflash ISO you are instructed to use?
- I think I am a little more descriptive with my burning.  I've spent countless hours testing different methods and perfecting what works well with my Thompson Drive. Actually, I am still working on it!  I found a slight flaw in my 3rd phase which I am working on as we speak.  The same thing applies with the one posted in the teamexecuter forums (which I found after i made this)... I am trying to be very specific with the burning settings and methods I use rather than being general.  They are both GREAT tutorials... but mine is greared towards people with a Thompson Drive.

Check back in day or so.  I have almost competed this project!
