Installing Programs In Debian/cant Connect

I just installed Debian, I went and opened up "ETerm", and I logged on with the password... I then typed "apt-get update" and it will say connecting..., but then after a while I get this error

Err http://non-us.debian.org sarge/non-US/main Release
Temporary failure resolving 'non-US.debain.org'

The Err changes, but the "Temporary failure resolving 'non-US.debain.org'" doesnt, so does this mean that my xbox isnt configured properly with my cable modem?
