After purchasing the Chameleon, of which nearly killed my xbox, I think I'll go ahead and buy the X2.2Pro, as well as the pogo pin addon, since I don't feel like murdering my xbox. I would like to know where to send a "thank you" to... If I do end up killing my xbox, at least I'll have a mod chip that will completely support ANY revision that I end up with. Thanks a lot, Ubergeek.

Forgive me if this question is dumb, but it seems to me that you could just make a wire bypass for the one LPC point that isn't connected to the MCPX? (thus allowing you to use current LPC mods)

XBH.net and X-S both said how the main problem was that LFRAME wasnt connected at the LPC bus...

Anyway, my thoughts.

Thanks again Team Xecuter =D

Was thinking that to, but I guesss there´s more to it than that! Anyway, great work team Xecuter!!!

Awesome work guys, I dunno how you do it, BTW, if M$ wanted to screw over all LPC mods, why didnt they just remove the lpc bus altogether?

I'm pretty sure MS uses the LPC bus to program their bios chips in the first place... i mean, why else is it there? (if not for that reason, then maybe for repair purposes)

This way, when they changed the LPC around, they just updated their LPC programmers or something, allowing them to still use it, while keeping the mod scene on their toes.

The LFRAME is not connected at the MCPX chip, which is BGA (The points are underneath the chip).

You cannot access them.

This is the FINAL WORD.

Sounds to me like something that could easily be solved with the programmable controller on the chameleon chip.  Am I wrong?
Any specs for a programmer yet?

I wonder if you can use the current bios with the 1.3.

Read the threads... Of course you can.

my question is, does this end the cheapmods?  i do cheapmods for friends by soldering in the ST29LF020 directly to the XBox, no sockets or anything.  does this mean i nead to go back to homebrew 29F040 chips if they want a mod done as CHEAP as possible?

I do believe it does, since the interface to the LPC has a bit of a different method to still be used.

The missing LFRAME means additional logic is required.
