well i dont know about debian but I know gentoo better so ill try an help

make an evox, unleashx or some dashboard that has ftp support and ftp over the LATEST gentoox files to the Root of the E: Partition

then boot the xbox with that dash on a cd or somthing and start gentooxx.xbe one way or another and wait for gentoox to start. When it starts, have your xbox IP ready and hooked up to a network and a comp ready to ssh in

keep trying untill it lets u in then user: root and pass xbox

or you could just do the gentoox native install
and ssh in
