Not sure make sure your video cable is in the back of xbox good, cause if theres no video cable hooked up to the xbox it will flash orange.

Yep, video cable problems cause that green-orange flashing, at least from my experience.

Orange means its overheating.  Make sure you plugged your fan back in when you modded it.  To the guy who said red is really bad, its not, you just have to reflash your eeprom which is damn easy.

Actually to clarify

Red Flashing = possible Eeprom failure
Red Solid = Very bad - Hardware/Chip failure.

anyone know what red/orange flashing is?  When i first turn on my xbox, it turns green for about a sec, then turns off, then turns on, then the red/orange flashing starts up.

Hey Wild_Fire... I just had the same problem!  Try hooking your original or a different hard drive in.  My problem was the hard drive.  Still not sure if it was a hard drive overheating problem, or just a hard drive problem in general.

Have some heard of some people being able to fix red/yellow flashing by reinstalling dashboard files, and otherd reloading original Hardrive untill the problem went away, altho it didnt work for me.

Sorry I couldn't be off more help, but I havent run across any just plain orange flashing in my experiances, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to try a few things.

Disable your mod chip and try booting into msdash.. Does that work?

What was the last mod you did on it?  Re-open your box and recheck every connection (maybe something popped loose?)
