Okay, My Xbox has a Chameleon chip and an 80G Seagate 7200RPM HD in it. I've had it up and running for awhile. I'm only using about 20 gigs of the HD or so. Lately the games have been freezing up and sometimes the dvd-rom will not read my original games. I think this might be related to the HD becoming fragmented. I heard somewhere that you could defragment the HD to keep things like this from happening, is this true? Any software I can DL to defrag this thing or is there another problem that I'm un-aware of?

You can read the 42 page thread on whether or not there is a defrag app for the xbox here.

I have no idea what the problem is that you are having.  Might be a combination of the xbox over heating and a bad dvd drive.
