Ok, well I got it all installed (typing this from my xbox) and I gotta say: this is freakin' awesome.  I am able to do basically anything I can do on my PC (halo too, lol)  from my xbox.I'm using it as another machine, partly for my little sister,(aim and Internet) and partly just for extra processes that I dont want to clog my desktop rig up with.  I was kinda getting tired of people saying that there isn't many uses for xbox linux, I can tell this thing took some time to make, and I am really grateful.  This is letting me exprience linux without messing with my PC (I had a dual boot with redhat, untill my HD blew)  

A couple of questions.  
1. any bit torrent clients that work with gentoox v3?  
2. Is it possible to acces my windows HD using shamba on my xbox? Any tutorials?

Sorry for any spelling errors, I am waiting for my vga pack, kinda hard to see all the characters...

thanks man.  

heres another question that i have...

do you have xbox live?  

i do and ive heard that you have to have a second HD (the one that has Linux on it) b/c M$ can see if your browsing the net even if you arent on live and i dont want to get booted.

EDIT: could you lead me to the tuts that you used?

if it had 3d acell yes it could. but at the moment the xbox doesent have 3d acell.  some games do run such as 2d games and 3d games that use mesa. you just have the same rules on performance as pc linux with a 733mhz cpu and 64mb of ram.

IE flash games lag like playing BF1942 with 64 players on 56k.

haha nice comparison, lol.  i used my xbox as my main computer for awhile (pc was acting up)  and i have to say i love gentoox.  debian just dont cut it for me.  ive gotten quite a few games to work in gentoox.  like starcraft with winex CVS.  so, if you know what your doing xbox-linux is the best!  oh yea, btw, to install bittorrent in gentoox run this as root:   emerge bittorrent
