Is there a contact number for SmartXX so you can ring them if you have a query? Or Xecuter for that matter. I mean, how do these companies actually operate?

You go to smartxx.com and post on their forums. One of their admins actually replied directly to one of my topics and gave the right answer. So while people bash Team SmartXX for occasionally making complete idiots of themselves(I don't deny that...) they at least attempt to take care of their customers.

I dont think you would find any chip manufacturer that would publish their phone number. It would be ringing steady with people and their frag problems...blaming the chip etc. I feel sorry for the resellers as they are the ones stuck with dealing with problems like that. Email is likely your only chance of contacting them.
