I'm getting ready to do this for the first time and have a few beginner questions:

I do NOT have a broadband connection and do NOT already have XBOX LIVE in the dashboard, is it OK to use the mechassault method to install the minimal Linux and have the dashboard item created?

If I want to continue to use for gaming, should I install Xebian to E?  And if so can I COMPLETELY uninstall it later if needed without mucking up the xbox?  Is F: only available if I have the larger drive?  I think I have a v1 box with Thompson drive.

After the FULL installation of Xebian, will I have basically a normal gaming box, then can use Linux by selecting it from the dashboard?  This is the way I'd prefer to use it.

And finally....will I be able to use the controller with a virtual keypad?  (before or instead of investing in a USB keyboard).

I know I'll learn alot on my own during the acyual install, but I don't want to screw it up too badly right from the get go.
