Anyone Able To Change The Linux Xbox-pad Driver ?

1st of all im no coder so im not able to do it :/
2nd i already was in contact with the original author but he doesnt have time, he told me what to do but i really didnt get much, dont know what to do.

Is there anyone who thinks he can change xpad.c so its posible to support the digital pad as digital inputs (like needed for Mugen) ?
