Linux Worthwile?

Other than the so called "Multimedia" apps available for linux, I would just stick to XBMP on account of the simplicity. I don't think you could drive and do that involved of applications at the same time anyway.

                       hope that helps,

do you guys have video screens in your cars for navigation on the xbox? i really do not want a tv in my car, but would love to use my xbox as a music keg to hold my cd collection.  do you know of a way to setup xbmp to: 1) begin play of last song automatically when turned on, 2) respond to simple controls, like disk +/- and track +/-...?  I think it's too cumbersome to try and remember the button presses w/o seeing the display to get music playing.

Right now I am running Xbox w/ EvoX and XBMP in my BMW 525i.  Its a show stopper at car shows because the EvoX skin is of my car and people are bewildered until they ask me what the deal is.  One thing, when I save a playlist, what good is it?  How do I load that playlist back up at a later point?

PS:  I have an Alpine LCD Headunit, for GPS I use my dell 600m w/ Delorme GPS and use the S-Video out to go into the 2ndary video input on the head unit, so i run the GPS without touching Xbox.
