reinstall it .... and shut it down the correct way...
also if you are not on internet ... unplug lan connection ... because sometimes ... it hangs if you are not connected to internet ...
i'm typing this from xbox ... right now ... Linux for xbox is cool!

That is exactly why it HANGS!

I did the same thing you did at first ... i thought logging off ...was all i had to do ...
Then i would restart ...and after 2 or 3 times doing that ... it would just Hang ...

Look thur this forum and read about shutting down...

from Konsule under System menu ....

type su -
then it will ask for password

type xbox

now you are at system root

now type in reboot

and wait 20 seconds and it should shut down completely.
this is how i did it when i didn't have a regular keyboard and was just using virtual keyboard ....
if you have regular keyboard ... you can just log off ...and when you exit ....

type loggin and password ... then reboot ...

either way works ...and if you don't understand this ... read other threads about this in this forum.

(if you get Login type root password xbox)

The proper shutdown command is:

shutdown -h now

Shutdown system, halt all processes, now

Must be logged in as root or the su to do it.
