I/o Ports For Lcd

Is there any kind of connector that will just slot onto the I/O pads (sort of like a PCI slot type thing) so that i dont have to solder a cable on?

No I've never seen anything like that.  But it would be a really good idea.  Smartxx needs to make one.  Soldering is as of now the only way.
