I have a 1.6 xbox and the mobo is dead so I was going to get a 1.4 because that chip installation is easy but my psu wont go with that so I am just getting another 1.6 and a solderless adapter. The LPC rebuild attempt was what kiilled my current one. Will a solderless adapter still need an LPC rebuild? Sorry if this is really simple(as in "solderless" means solderless). Thanks

no you will not need to do the lpc rebuild the adapter does that for you just get the offical smarttx adapter and with steady hands you can have your chip in in under 10 minutes easy.
