Xecuter 1.0 Chip And Linux

QUOTE (Alvisar1 @ Apr 7 2003, 04:24 PM)
Does anyone have an old xecuter1.0 chip with the newes 0.3.1 distro installed?

Or am I SOL?

Are you asking because it used to work on an older version of linux, or because this is your first attempt?  If it's your first attempt, then I had an older linux up and running with an X1.0 chip with no problems.  Keep in mind that an x1 only works on 1.0 xboxes though.

This is my first attempt.  Trying to install ed's latest 3.1.  I haven't had linux installed on it before at all.  I have an x1 chip with a 1.0 xbox.   It hangs at clock setting when I try to start the install.

Things I've tried since then:

Unplugging the ethernet cable:  same response
Unplugging the xbox so it loses time:  same response

I've now also tried distro 1.0 testing iso, and I still get the same result.   I think I might have to try mandrake or xbox linux live.
