Usb Modems In Xbox Linux?
« on: March 26, 2003, 04:23:00 PM »

I know this may sound wierd, but I was wondering if it was at all possible to hook up any sort of USB modem to the Xbox using Linux. I have been doing some research and found a site that listed compatible USB modems with Linux and I have it narrowed down to a couple of choices (Both within the 30-50 dollar range). "Why would a person want to use a 56k SHIT connection when you can just use broadband?", you may ask. The reason behind this is simple: I think it would be nice to be able to hook into the internet from somone's house who might not have broadband, or from a hotel or other public place with a phone line connection. If anyone has any information or expierence with hooking a USB modem up to a Linux Xbox, please post here or e-mail me. Thanks alot!

I found a 40 dollar modem that claims to work plug and play with the Linux USB drivers. When I get it I will test it out and post the results.
