Frustrated With Mandrake

ok i couldnt get kde to install on debian so i decided to install mandrake 9.  i know this is repetitive but i searched the forums and couldnt find the answer.  how do you mount the dvd-rom in mandrake????  i read about some supermount shit but i dont know what the fuck that is.  also...i cannot access the internet, how do i setup my network settings?  i searched everywhere and couldnt find it!
