Ok, I was getting that file missing crap when doing the apt-get command, and I too has even used the update command to update the servers. Well to make a short story long, I am back home now, and not at my friend's who had the cable internet, so I must resort to installing from a Debian CD. I have copied the CD to a CDRW, and can see it in Linux once it has been mounted, how I want to isntall X, and then KDE or something better, and need to know what directories to goto, and what files to install, as all of this is confusing, and rather messy, if someone has done this before and can point me in the right direction, I'll give them my first born.
