I was able to find an old back up of an xbox I moded awhile back and tried to use that c- to rebuild this Xbox's c drive and it still wont load the dash! just a red/green light

Because it's not stock, it's already modded. Of course, if you copied the C AND E drives of the modded Xbox and built it from that it should work without you having to run NDURE, unless you used NDURE on the old one and it's a different kernel. Otherwise, Use what I just sent you.

Im going to try to use the one you sent me! I soft moded that other xbox at least 4 to 5 years ago im guessing and I have no idea what kernel or dash that one was on! And the reason I am using the 2.2 xbox hdm is because my mother in law doesn't have a working cd burner so im trying to use the usb drive! I really appreciate it, your response. I just rebuild the c drive right through xbox hdm?
