Wooops, What Tha Hell Happened
« on: October 25, 2004, 02:36:00 PM »

Hi

I have the latest smartxxx with a 200gb HD. I normally use avalaunch, and today I was transferring yet another game by using Qwix....

The next time I restart my xbox the following has happened:

1)It boots up into an emulator, but I cant choose a game
2)F drive with ALL MY FILES is empty!!!

is there a way of "restoring" files on the xbox? seriously, I cant believe it all went away like that....

:(

Hum looks like somthing may have gotten corrupt or somthing formated the drive (maybe a friend did by accident). Maybe even the HD is failing. The only way you can get your stuff back on there is to backup your games if you have them.

How full was E drive?  Did it fill completely up?

Where is your dash installed? f? c?

Can it boot from CD/DVD?

My guess from your symtoms would be your dash was on F and you filled E completely up.  OZPaul's LBA48 code has some errors when filling up E drive completely F can get corrupt as they have about a 200 mb overlap or so.
