there is an option when you first start xboxhdm not sure which it is its either #3 or #4 one i beleive is for the floppy drives and the other is for using just the xboxhdm disk.

I guess you are using a softmod? most softmods also require some files on the E: partition you might wanna check and see if yours does.

I installed UnleashX by hotswapping. I have some UDATA and TDATA dirs on my E:. They are too big to put on a cd (more than 700mb) so I only copied the C:

But how to lock the disc? I don't have a floppy or something... On the XBOX HD database there is a note that this Seagate only can be locked with configmagic or something....

You shouldn't need to generate a password. Just run xboxhdm, select option 3, then type lockhd -a

You can lock as many drives as you like.

On the xboxhdm disc you need the contents of your real C (i.e. you have to bypass shadow C before taking a copy), and the softmod dash files from E - \dash, \ndts and \NKP11

Actually, you're better off not re-using any of your current files. Get a clean stock 5960 C dash, make a softmod file set with Kingroach NDURE 3.1, and put them all on the xboxhdm CD in the appropriate places, along with your eeprom.bin. That way you can run the ndure script, to be certain that the fonts end up on the new disk in the right order.

Whichever option you choose, run xboxhdm, rebuild the disk, then run lockhd -a to lock it.

Where do I get the dash files?? To create a clean disk??

I could not find them so I copied the original C and the orignal E

(original C is the one with the folder shadowC??)

So, I can just copy these to the xboxhdm along with the eeprom.bin?

Or is it better to create a new disk with Ndure and so on?
