stock xboxs only have an 8gb hard drive. how much did you try to ftp over?

You may try booting Frosty's rescue disk. See if you can get FTP access and clean up the problem. You should be able to boot the Xbox with a full E drive. Your Xbox won't run correctly though.

The rescue CD did the trick - thanks for the suggestion.  I wiped out everything I transferred over, and it booted just fine.  Upgraded the hard drive to 120 gig, so now I have plenty of room to play with.  Thanks for the suggestions!
