Hey guys sorry of wrong board.

I'm trying to soft mod my original xbox but confused on a few things.

What Action Replay do I need?
How big of mem card should I get?
What game do I need to buy?

Links or comments would be really helpful. Thanks

I went out and bought a copy of splinter cell stealth action redefined and mechassult as well and a memory card.

That cable will allow you to connect a USB device to the Xbox. You can try a flash drive on the Xbox to see if it will work. If the Xbox can read it and format it, you may not need the mem card. If you can't find a flash drive that will work, do you know anyone with a modded Xbox? They can FTP Krazie's to their Xbox and you can copy it to your Mem Card.

Cant I do it on my own? I use filezilla as a ftp service on my domains. Would a external hard drive work just as well if i portion out some space? I already bought the mem card I think its 512 mbs. Though got ripped on the mechassult game cause the cover said it wasn't platinum then when i opened it the cd said plat on iy good thing I got splinter cel also.

If you have the hardware to connect your memory card to your PC then yes, you can read it on a PC but you will need an app called xplorer360 to read it because the xbox memory cards are not standard PC formats.

So, to be clear, that cable I ordered should do the trick? Another thing I notice that says xplorer360. That means it's not just for xbox 360 right?

The cable you ordered allows you to connect an Xbox controller to a PC (not a USB drive to an Xbox). I've never tried it, but you should be able to use the cable to plug your Xbox controller into your PC, then plug the memory card into the controller, and read/write to and from it using Xplorer360.

You have to use Xplorer360 beta 6 - older versions don't work.

Make sure you use Krayzie 1.1.1 gamesave exploit to softmod your Xbox - it's the most noob friendly and stable softmod.

So maybe I could connect the cord into memory card slot a then plug it into my pc and put the xbox memory card into slot b and my pc should read it with that program. sorry if im confused had no sleep (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sleeping.gif)

The new cord you have should connect to the PC's USB port. Plug the Xbox controller with the mem card in it to the cord and it should be recognized as a new device.

Open Xplorer360 and click open drive or device. Can't remember exactly. Drag and drop Krazie's to the mem card.
