Sorry to double post, but i couldn't find the edit button lol.


I also wanted to say - that apparently my xbox has the xecuter2 mod chip. but i cant really figure out how to use it... the only thing different in the xbox is that i can play copied games.  I've taken out the motherboard to look for the chip and i couldn't find anything on it, although i dont really know what im looking for, heh.

Either way, when i start the xbox the XBOX logo comes up and then it says Xecuter2 under it.  Then the normal xbox dash comes up.  Thats why i wasn't sure if it was actually on.. lol so anyway thats why i decided to try soft modding, and im not sure if that has anything to do with my problems.

You will probably have a Tsop flash. It's another bios flashed in the mobo's flashrom.

Try to find the slayers rescue package. Burn it to a media your xbox dvdrom can read. Insert it in the xbox and see if it runs. It will give you the options to fix your harddisk.

If you have an evox bios on your xbox, you don't need to softmod it. Just ftp the dashboard of your choice to it. You can even do that if you booted from the slayers.
