Long time user, first time poster.
Thanks to all on Xbox-Scene, firstly, for all the top drawer tut's, info, softmods etc.
It is much appreciated.

Now, I have a 1.6 xbox softmodded with NDURE 3.1 (on the stock seagate drive)
I have had trouble with getting this box (in UnleashX n XBMC) to display with component cables, and I have tried several "eeprom_off.bin" and "video.bin" fixes to no avail.
I assume this is happening because of the way I initially compiled and installed NDURE (nkpatcher options methinks)

Tried cloning the stock mod onto WD drive, everything works fine, but it doesn't solve my component issue

So the main problem is that I want to load a fresh install of NDURE 3.1 onto a 120g WD drive and grab the legit M$ dash n eeprom from the stock drive so I can try to get around my psuedo-botched compilation n installation of NDURE.

I am also uncertain as to which "C" to take from the stock drive, from the actual C drive or from a backup somewhere on E, which i assume would be placed with files to be ISO'ed by xbhdm.

Maybe just set stock xbox to retail, then mod again CORRECTLY (for component functionality)
then upgrade?

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Have you checked the ndts folder on your E partition? It should contain a dashboard with options to configure the nkpatcher settings. (default.xbe and not the unleashx.xbe)

It will disable the shadowc and virtual eeprom. Next thing to check is the availability in the M$dash of the "high resolution" settings as they are only available on ntsc xboxes when the proper AV pack (component) is detected. So, even a bad contact in the AV connector can cause issues when the AV pack isn't correctly detected.

You can extract a slayers or AID rescue iso for the original M$dash files. If you create an xboxhdm iso with those C and E partition files, you will end up with an unmodded disk again.

Ended up grabbing legit Dash files from the stock drive and making the 120g into a "virgin" then softmodded (Ndure 3.1) it up. Worked like a charm.

Component problem seemed to magically correct itself after a few tries and some "green tint", can't get 480p though.

I still remember getting 480p with my other softmodded xbox (SID perhaps? can't remember) on my TV but oh well.

I'll continue this A/V issue in the appropriate thread.
