hello!
I have bought a second hand Xbox yesterday, I followed the Ndure Softmod Through Xboxhdm tutorial (a great one I must say). Now I want to upgrade to a large HD. I downloaded configmagic 1.6 final and ftp it to xbox. I placed on the apps folder. The problem begins here. If I let the intro movie play to the end I can't get the "press start" message. I skipped this. The program can read the values but when I open the menu I cant navigate on it, it just dont have an highlight bar or something for me to scroll down to the backup option. Is there any other program for me to try the backup of eeprom?

Get the Evox dash, and copy it to a directory on your Xbox. Run it from the UnleashX file manager, then select System Utils - Backup.

Well, I have downloaded and ftp it to xbox. the problem is the same: the dashboard loads but i can not scroll in the menu..
Can you give me another ideia?

Try a different port on your Xbox, or a different controller.

I doubt this will help you, but I know that the xBox Linux XBE launcher and Linux will not work without Microsoft controllers connected. If you leave a third party controller plugged in or even the DVD remote, it will refuse to start. Like I said before, I doubt this is your problem, but try to unplug as much stuff as possible and find a way to see if it is still responding.
