I have read thru several posts and tutorials on the subject of softmodding, i have one question. My old Xbox that has been in a closet forever stopped playing games about 2 yrs. ago. it loads up to the Xbox screen with the big green "X" however the white microsoft letters never appear. One time, after a looooong time, it went to an error code 13, but never since. I have read the ndure softmod post, the art of hotswapping, and the xboxHDM for dummies post, still not sure if it can be modded. if it can be can someone tell me where to look to help me out.
I'm wanting to softmod my box to install XBMC to use it as a wireless media player. I have two more boxes stored away somewhere, if i can mod them all each room in the house should be able to play movies off my home network. I hate discs, trying to eliminate them.
