You are going to have to give more details on what you were doing and the tools you were using before somebody can help. For example, were you installing the softmod via a gamesave? Do you have ftp access? Does a boot disc work?

sorry i used xboxhdm 3.0 and installed it through hotswap, basically I'm trying to figure out how to get my MS dashboard files back to my xbox without having to go back to the unsoftmodded state, yes ftp works and i haven't tried running a boot disc on my xbox yet
