Xbmc Missing Internet And Info
« on: December 17, 2008, 04:31:00 PM »

I have 2 Xboxes. One is a v1.3 Xbox I've has for over 4 years and one which I have just purchased for another room is a v1.6 Xbox, both Crystal editions.

The v1.3 Xbox has an Xenium ICE mod and the v1.6 Xbox has been softmodded with Softmod Installer Deluxe v5.1 using the Standard HD option.

The problem is that RSS feeds don't work in XBMC (using SVN_2008-12-07) on the v1.6 Xbox but do on the v1.3 Xbox and the CPU and GPU temps are listed as Unknown on the v1.6 Xbox and other stuff is also missing in the System Info in XBMC as they state Busy.

I replaced the UnleashX dash that the softmod installer used. Has the missing information in XBMC something to do with the softmod and nkpatcher or the fact that I replaced the UnleashX dash that the installer put on the E partition?

Thanks!

The temps I believe were also incorrect in UnleashX as both CPU and GPU temp were at 50c and the Xbox internals where nowhere near that hot.

The 1.6 always reports its temperatures incorrectly - it's a feature. smile.gif

I'd noticed that the new XBMC build showed the CPU and GPU temperatures as unknown, but if you view other system info screens then go back to the General screen a few times the temperatures eventually appear.

Not sure about the RSS feed - that works fine on mine. Is the Xbox getting an IP address? Can you ping it?

I've assigned the Xbox a static IP address as its part of a wireless network and I can connect to the Xbox just fine and copy and download files from it. Its just XBMCs internet features that are not working.

As for the XBMC temps, how can I remove them from the main menu? If they ain't working properly I'd rather not have them there at all.

Thanks.
